ملخص الدراسة:

Abstract This study aimed to investigate the impact of Bayer's strategy on developing the skill scientific problem solving and life skills among female ninth graders in Gaza. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher applied the quasi-experimental approach, pre-posttest design for two groups on a representative sample of (80) female ninth graders from Jabalia Preparatory School (C) during the academic year 2015/2016. The researcher applied Bayer’s strategy on the physics unit. She also designed the scientific (physics) problem solving test, which consisted of (25) items, and life skills test, which consists of (25) items. The application of the study took (7) weeks which comprised (26) periods. After the completion of the application of the study on the students in the experimental group, the post-test was applied on the control and experimental groups, and the data were statistically analyzed to get to the study findings. The study findings revealed the following: There were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the female students of the control group and the experimental one in the posttest of the scientific problem solving and the life skills test in favor of the experimental group. Based on these findings, the researcher put a set of recommendations, the most important of which include: The need for the use of Bayer's strategy in the teaching of science because of its role in developing the skill of the scientific problem solving and life skills. The study also recommends that the teachers should be trained on using it in all school stages.
