Narrative Orientations represent effective procedural keys to inter deeply into the text and affect its readers.This research aims at studying the narrative orientations in the novel Sata'er Al-Etma ، a semiotic narrative study، in order to highlight the novelist's use of narrative orientations to express his experience . In addition، the study highlights the narrative orientations' role in attracting readers' attention and interest to get involved in into the narrative text.. The researcher used the descriptive analytic approach in his study to highlight the definition of narrative orientationsand their types represented in the title، the cover page، dedication، and prologue.Results revealed how important the narrative orientations are in the process of creativity، receptivity and understanding of the narrative text and getting deeply into its details in order to know the imprisonment the novelist experienced
