ملخص الدراسة:

This study aims at identifying the effectiveness of a program based on Marzano’s dimensions of learning for developing productive thinking skills in the mathematics course of the ninth-grade students. The problem of the study can be summarized in the following question: What is the efficiency of a program based on Marzano’s dimensions of learning for developing productive thinking skills in the mathematics course of the ninth-grade students? To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher used the experimental method on a sample consisting of (60 students) in ninth grade students in Bani Suhaila Preparatory School (B) in the city of Khan Younis. Two classes were selected to represent both the experimental group (30 students) and the control group (30 students). After verifying the tools of the study, the independent variable, (using the program) was applied to measure its impact on the dependent variable (developing productive thinking skills). The study was implemented during the second semester of the academic year 2013-2014. The study tool consisted of productive thinking skills test. The researcher used the appropriate statistical methods to analyze the results, and found the following findings: - There are significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the test in favor of the experimental group students. - There are significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the pre-test and the post-test applications. The researcher recommended with: - There is a necessary to improve teaching practices in the preparatory cycle. It is also necessary to use Marzano’s dimensions of education in teaching mathematics for different educational cycles for its importance in achieving learning educational outcomes. - Organizing training courses and workshops for supervisors and mathematics teachers on using Marzano’s dimensions of learning and applying them to other variables such as problem solving and scientific inquiry skills.
