ملخص الدراسة:

The study aimed to determine the relationship between the phantom limb and psychological emotions (anger, shyness, anxiety) among amputation cases. It also aimed to determine the levels of phantom limbs and psychological emotions (anger, shyness, anxiety) among amputation cases and the statistical differences attributable to changes in the demographic variables of the study (gender, age, place of amputation, period of amputation, cause of amputation, marital status) among amputation cases. The researcher used the following tools to reach the findings: phantom limb scale and psychological emotions scale, both prepared by the researcher. The study sample consisted of (127) amputation cases in the Gaza Strip who received the highest scores on the phantom limb and the psychological emotions scales. The researcher used the intentionality sampling method in selecting the study sample and adopted the analytical-descriptive approach. Study most important findings: There was a high positive direct correlation between the total score of the phantom limb scale and the that of the psychological emotions scale. There were statistically significant differences at the level of phantom limb attributed to the variables of (gender, age, place of amputation in the body, period of amputation, cause of amputation, marital status) among amputation cases. There were also significant differences at the level of psychological emotions attributed to the variables of (gender, age, place of amputation in the body, period of amputation, cause of amputation, marital status) among amputation cases. Study most important recommendations: The study recommends the preparation of guidelines for relaxation training and gradual fortification techniques so as to reduce the tension and anger after exposure to the amputation case. Activation of employment projects and programs of vocational rehabilitation for amputation cases to attain their independence and the psychological and societal adaption in their daily lives. Media awareness raising of rights of persons with disabilities and the importance of integrating them into the society.
