ملخص الدراسة:

The aim of the study was to identify the effectiveness of a counseling program in positive self-talk to relieve the symptoms of anxiety among orphan female students, in addition to the continues effectiveness. The study also aimed to identify the differences in the level of anxiety among the students in the experimental group and those in the control group and to investigate the differences in the level of anxiety among the female students in the experimental group before and after the application of the counseling program. The study also attempted to identify the differences in the level of anxiety among the female students in the experimental group in the two post and follow-up measurements . The researcher used Anxiety Scale (which was prepared by the researcher) and designed the positive self-talk counseling program. The study sample, which was purposively chosen, consisted of (30) female orphan students who got the highest scores in the anxiety scale. The sample was divided into two groups: the experimental group consisting of (15) students, and the control one consisting of (15) students. The researcher adopted the experimental approach. The study most important findings were as follows: There were statistically significant differences at the level of anxiety among the subjects of the experimental group and the control group after the application of the counseling program in favor of the control group. There were also statistically significant differences at the level of anxiety among the subjects of the experimental group before and after the application of the counseling program in favor of the pre-measurements. The study most important recommendations were as follows: Implementation of awareness sessions for the community about the importance and effectiveness of the positive self-talk using realistic models and practical experience; the reparation of a guidebook to positive self-talk to be used as a guide for the implementation of positive self-talk technique continuously.
