<strong>ملخص الدراسة:</strong>

The present study aims at finding out about the total quality management asone of the new management methods that should be followed in libraries tosatisfy libraries goers and meet their information needs. In addition، it aims atidentifying the principles of the total quality management and its basicrequirements in order to be applied to university libraries in general، Iraqiuniversity libraries in particular.The study also reveals the steps and stages of the total quality management;the major problems that hinder its application in university libraries; and how todeal with problems and challenges that impede the application of the totalquality management in these libraries.
