This thesis attempts to study the development of reading comprehension skill in the Arabic language for non-native speakers and compares the Arabic programme between two international institutions, namely the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM); and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, United Kingdom.
