Geography books and trips from historical sources, which constitute an important frame of reference, and a basic material from which the researcher draws, many useful data on which to base his theoretical hypotheses and historical construction, to draw a picture of the urban heritage in Jerusalem in the Islamic era_x000D__x000D_
This study will deal with the most important books of geography and Arab and Islamic journeys, which referred to the various establishments and buildings in Jerusalem in the Islamic era, which are devoted to them and the rest._x000D__x000D_
The importance of this study is that it documents the Arab and Islamic establishments and works in the past through an important period of time extending from the first century until the ninth century AH, thus supporting the role of these sources in preserving the urban heritage in the Islamic literature to emphasize the depth of originality and the originality of the Islamic civilization in Jerusalem to counter the Zionist claim About his entitlement in this Holy Land.
