<strong>ملخص الدراسة:</strong>

The study aims at investigating the political ideology which interferes in the translation process of sensitive news headlines. The researcher selected news headlines from famous and various Israeli newspapers such as Haaretz, the Jerusalem post, Reuterz, and Arutz Sheva about the events that followed Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. The news headlines were given as a translation test to four Palestinian journalists. The results of the study show that the majority of the journalists resorted to dynamic renderings of the ST due to the high political sensitivity of the context that marks the news headlines. Faithfulness became irrelevant and the reality and truth of the ST were questioned and often subverted in the translation. The paper describes the nature and degree of translator interventions and outlines the strategies used to neutralize the ideological load invested in the original text.
