Islamic paintings represent the reflecting mirror of the dominant social and cultural aspects in Arab Islamic society with its precise particulars. The study aims at investigating the Islamic ruling concerning the paintings. It reviews this ruling through citing the Quranic verses and Prophetic traditions (Hadiths), then we will give our opinion as far as the paintings are concerned. Islamic painting has many schools and trends. One of these paintings was Al-Hariri rations which were drawn by Al-Wasiti anecdotes. In these anecdotes we notice many social aspects like Eid processions and Islamic caliphate sessions…etc.The last part of the study concentrates on the cultural aspects that were documented graphically from the books and libraries. Many figures appeared in this field.
