<strong>ملخص الدراسة:</strong>

The study deals with the concept of Information Illiteracyin the academic community. It deals with the reasons ofInformation Illiteracy and tries to recognize the types ofIlliteracy prevailing in the academic community (the College ofArts as a sample) through a questionnaire of six questionsdealing with the concept of Information Illiteracy. Thequestionnaire was distributed to (25%) of the study communityas sample making (72) faculty members. The study concludesthat the Illiteracy at the College community is a technical,computer , Internet and Information Illiteracy with differentpercentages. The study discussed the necessary requirementsneeded by the academic community if it intended to abolishIlliteracy in it. The study contains nine charts and one table.
