The study aims at identifying the present status of Al-Awqaf public library at Mosul, its types of patrons, services, collections and the methods of acquisitions and technical services followed in it, as well as the management of the library. It is a case study based on collecting data through interviews with persons responsible for the library and the other library staff.The study comes out with some conclusions, the most important of them is the need for professional library staff specialized in the field of library and information science. The study also presents some recommendations, among which is to establish a joint committee from the staff of the library itself, and from outside professional librarians to put a formal written collection development policy for the library and to computerize the library services.
