<strong>ملخص الدراسة:</strong>

That study tackle aims at knowing the effect of Meryl- Tennyson two methods in acquiring and the development of historical concepts and the development of inductive thinking for teacher preparation institute .In order to achieve the aim of the study, the researcher put two hypotheses, the first is there are statistically significant differences at the in the scores of students of the experimental of the study in the acquisition of historical terms. The second is there are no statistically significant differences scores of students of the experimental of the study in the development of inductive thinking.The researcher used an experimental design with partial design and chose randomly third stage students from the teacher Preparation institute in Falluja, affiliated to The General Directorate of education in Anbar. The sample consisted of (95) students as (33) students of the first group who were taught according to the selection model and (30) student of the second selective group taught according o Meryl-Tennyson and (32) student and the control group in the traditional methods.
