The paper tackles studying the rituals which are called (namburbi)in ancient Mesopotamia ,the concept consists of a series of procedures and practices that have magical and religious nature simultaneously ,they were made by the priests so as to make people get rid the evils that are present due to the different omens right before happening , According to their beliefs at that time , they inflict harm , the length of these rituals depends upon the financial status of people and the social one , duringwhich certain gods known for their affection and compassion to humanbeings were being called upon.
